We Need Your Help!

As many of you are aware, the branch Cenotaph was damaged beyond repair during an extreme wind storm the occurred in September 2019. We have had meetings with several experts as well as Government officials trying to determine a what if anything, we could do to repair our War Memorial. It has been determined that our Memorial is not repairable and will have to be replaced. Over the last several months we have received cost estimated ranging from 55,000.00 to 150,000.

We have also had meetings within our branch to decide what we wanted to have as our Memorial. We had a couple designed in mind and we wanted to update our Memorial to include our Modem Day Veterans and Currently Serving Military Personal. The Memorial design will remain the same as it was determined that we wanted to retain as much of the history of the Monument as we could. The exception being it will be designed with a stronger base and we will include all Veterans.

Currently the estimate does not include the much needed ground work that will be required after the Memorial is erected.

We hope we can count on support from all levels Government as well as the general public as we move forward to restore our Monument.

In the coming weeks and months we will be having fundraiser and donation drives to help with covering the cost of the new Memorial. Anyone wishing to assist with these campaigns please contact President Brendan Lush at 709-215-0428
